These floral hearts are made here in the Croglofft studio, using locally foraged leaves and flowers from North Wales. The flowers and foliage used to create the prints have been collected from the Clwydian hills, forests and from fields and hedgerows from our smallholding in Llandegla.
The botanical decorations would make a great little gift for any nature lover, whether for Dydd Santes Dwynwen, Valentines Day, Mother's Day or any birthday. They are perfect for popping into a special card and are lightweight and postable. I have fallen in love with the cyanotype process and so I hope a little bit of that is captured in every piece.

Artwork Materials: These original cyanotype decorations are hand printed using photosensitive cyanotype solution on 2.5mm thick plywood measuring 10x10mm. The prints are developed with UV light, aka sunshine, and welsh water. Finally the decorations have been waxed, embellished with subtle gold touches and hung on sage green satin ribbon. Supplied in a glassine bag.
Please note: Every attempt is made for images to give a good representation of the colour but the blues may vary depending on the device used to view. Different hues and tones of blue are created during the print process and so variations between the decorations is to be expected.
To help preserve your decoration, display away from direct sunlight, UV light and any heat source.
